Group members attend the TMS 2020 Annual Meeting in San Diego

Group members attended the TMS 2020 Annual Meeting held in San Diego, CA from February 23rd-27th and shared their research with the materials science community. Dr. Hwasung Yeom gave three talks: “Cold Spray Deposition of 304L Stainless-steel Powder on Used Fuel Dry Cask Storage Systems to Control Potential Stress Corrosion Cracking,” “Manufacturing Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) Steel …

Congratulations to Mia Lenling!

Mia Lenling successfully defended her master’s thesis “Development of the Cold Spray Process for Manufacturing and Surface Modification of Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) Steel Fuel Cladding Tubes” on December 16th. Mia began working for Dr. Sridharan as an undergraduate in 2016. We are very grateful for her contributions to the cold spray program. Mia has …

Congratulations to Dr. Ben Maier!

Congratulations to Ben Maier who successfully defended his PhD thesis, ““Investigation of Mechanisms of Metallic Cold Spray Coating Formation and Relevant Corrosion and Irradiation Behaviors.”  Ben helped launch the cold spray research program at UW in 2011. In January 2019 Ben began working as a Principal Materials Engineer with Westinghouse Electric Company.
