NAMRG receives Department of Energy Nuclear Energy University Program (NEUP) grant award: Associate Scientist Dr. Woo Hyun Jung and Prof. Kumar Sridharan have received a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) NEUP proposal award for the project “Understanding the Performance of SiC-SiC Composite Cladding Architectures with Cr Coating in Normal Operating and Accident Conditions in LWRs and Advanced Reactors”. The project will focus on manufacturing, materials science, and thermal hydraulics aspects of this technology, and will be performed in collaboration with General Atomics and Argonne National Laboratory, and Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), S. Korea as a non-funded international partner.
