Tyler joined the group in early 2016 as an undergrad and completed his BS at UW-Madison that same year. Currently he is pursuing his masters in Materials Science & Engineering and is continuing research with the group. This year (2019), he was awarded a Nuclear Energy Universyity Program (NEUP) fellowship to aid in his graduate studies. While his research focuses on the development of cold spray coatings for accident tolerant fuels, he is interested in all types of coatings and surface engineering, materials processing, and high level characterization.
